The price to pay

Ladies and gentlemen, I have come to a decision. But first, the context: I was watching Keith Olberman.

And now the decision. My price for my vote will be: the VP slot for Hillary. That's right, otherwise I'm outa here. I feel, it is the only way she (and since I support her: I) will get the respect that we deserve.

If you are unhappy with my decision, no need to contact me, contact KO.

I would suggest she takes a long vacation after this.

She deserves it.

I would suggest somewhere in Iceland .

She needs to be an Eskimo for the rest off the election season.

Eve if she does that Keith he is no Edward Murrow will do a special comment on her .

The same rabid obama supporters trying to get her out of the race would be the same ones asking her to come back on the trail with obama

Yeah, I've heard this. I've also heard that Clinton supporters are suppose to fall in line too.

To Obama supporters and that includes K.Olbermann...Disrespect will get you NOWHERE.

He had a very nice section: Resume writing tips for Clinton Staffers.

I only could watch the beginning, couldn't stand it.

Poor baby...

It's all about you, isn't it? The stupid voters in the Democratic Party didn't pick your candidate, so now you're going to punish them unless they put your candidate on the ticket. Well, I'm a committed Gravel supporter. How dare you presume that Hillary Clinton get a spot on the ticket ahead of Mike Gravel -- afterall, who cares what the voters said, Gravel deserves this nomination!!!

Re: The price to pay (none / 0)

Isn't it better to argue the pettiness of this position as opposed to taunting the diarist?  Seems to me that the latter actually comes closer to entertaining the threats.

And by the way, I just contacted Keith to let him know that it's all his fault.  Nothing like abdicating political and intellectual responsibility to a journalist.

Ah, the fine line between irony and taunting...

Re: The price to pay (none / 0)

Olbermann is extremely arrogant and pompous; thus why I refuse to watch. Never really had much talent outside of being the left's O'Reilly. I wouldn't take his thoughts into regard too much, he should really go back to Sportscenter (although I thought he was unfit to serve there as well--perhaps only as washing Stuart Scott's jock)

Re: The price to pay (2.00 / 2)

I like how he goes after McCain.  He brings up stuff the media usually ignores, kind of like how talk radio digs up anything on our team.  But 80% of his show is boring to me.  But he serves a purpose in counterbalancing the conservative commentators out there.

Not painful, just not as helpful... (2.00 / 1)

as Edwards or Warner would be, IMHO.  But I'd be cool with Clinton as VP.

Hillary on the ticket I just think that it should be Obamas choice.

The take my ball and go home attitude is what people are mocking here to me in channels veronica salt.

What did KO say/do that motivated this diary?

Re: The price to pay (none / 0)

Vote for whomever you want.  If you're fine with McCain as president what you're suggesting makes sense.  I think there are good arguments both pro and con making Clinton VP (should add that we don't know whether she wants the job, btw), but think it would be a serious mistake for Obama to choose her if that ran against his better judgement.  That's a price he shouldn't have to pay for your vote.

by IncognitoErgoSum on Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 10:32:15 PM EST

Re: The price to pay (none / 0)

Well I actually wrote a diary stating that Obama would have no choice but to give her the VP and she will have no choice but to accept.

So by my own analysis I am pretty sure to get satisfaction.

by TaiChiMaster on Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 10:39:01 PM EST

I have to ask (none / 0)

why write this diary? It seems like you are more or less re-iterating what you said earlier, only more forcefully.

Re: The price to pay (2.00 / 1)

Wow, that totally sucks for Obama.  I'm sure that you would have voted for him happily if it wasn't for that gosh darn Keith Olberman.  You've had nothing but positive things to say about Obama previously, so it's a shame to see such a reasonable person turned away by a big bad political pundit.

Just in case Obama is reading this: the price of my vote is a jetpack.  Please contact me about shipping info.
